The Gallery is now able to reopen :
In line with current Scottish rules surrounding the control of Covid 19 which limits the amount of people in the gallery space at any one time , at Ochre that will be one family group of up to 5 people or 2 smaller groups adding up to a maximum of 4 persons.
Hand sanitisers are to be used on your way in and also upon leaving .
Opening days and hours are yet to be finalised but as always check the facebook page for regular updates
Ochre is the working studio and gallery for landscape artist Richard Brinley. Situated in the historic heart of Kirkcudbright, Scotland’s Artists Town. Ochre Gallery and Studio is a welcoming space where you are invited to view Richard’s paintings of Galloway as well as seeing work in progress , maybe you will enjoy the smell of turpentine . As well as originals and work in progress a large range of fine art Giclee prints and cards of Richards work are always available .
Ochre also has the work of other artists and craftspeople on display including photography from David Whittingham and John Priestly (postcards) , Japanese woodblock prints from fellow Kirkcudbright artist Claire Cameron Smith (cards too) and a range of cards from Ester Tacke featuring wildlife and bicycles .
Through this website paintings are sold unframed and prints / works on paper are sold unmounted for ease of delivery . For now I am only offering a selection my product for sale on this site so please visit the gallery/ studio when you are next in Kirkcudbright to see the full range. Richard
